Paribus - free money!

Postby cwilkins88 » Tue Feb 16, 2016 8:50 am

So, there is an an application called Paribus. You sign up, link to your Amazon account, and it monitors your activity for 30 days on purchases. If it notices a price drop, it automatically submits a request to amazon for the price match difference and is credited to your amazon account.

I added it as a browser extension (its also in the app store for apple phones), and completely forgot about it. Got an email last week saying they had gotten me a dollar, and then yesterday they got me an extra eleven dollars on a purchase.

The catch for this app is they take 25% of the profit you get back, BUT for each person you refer, they cut that by 5%. Also, anybody you refer also cuts the people you've already referred by 5% as well, so like an awesome pyramid scheme.

The application has high ratings and has gotten me money back that I never would've.

There is also a BETA for this application out, where, after the 30 days, it will actually still monitor the purchases for another 60. If there is a price drop, it will read the cardmember agreement that you have with your current credit card provider and submit a claim directly to them. It was invite from them only, but they invited me after my first refund.

I signed up and they submitted a claim through chase, but obviously they are a little slower about this than Amazon, so I'm still waiting to see.

Here is my referral link. Only ONE person please click on it and reply to the thread stating you have, because I'm already at 5%. Then someone else can link and get that sweet sweet reduction.

How long was it from signing up and getting your first claim from Amazon. Obviously the more you shop at Amazon the more chance you have.

And it is refunded to your Amazon account? Why do they need my CC then?

I wasn't aware of the CC beta, that is pretty sweet. How do they know what I buy on my CC other than just "Home Depot"?

I am also at 5%. Someone use Chris's link first and speak up so the next can use mine. Like he said, this gets both of us 5% off

My Mistake. The refund goes to Amazon, but it actually uses the card you used to purchase it from.

I'm not quite sure on how the Credit card thing worked, but it was able to see that I had a chase freedom on my account, and that it made the purchase, and that's where they submitted the claim to.

I should note, that if you get invited to the extra CC thing, they do not take a fee, because it is in BETA.

I signed up about a week and a half ago, and have gotten both my claims in the last 3 days.

Signed up. How does this work? Do I shop through ebates? I got the extension so I can just shop as I normally do and I get cash back?

What is your cash back up to?

When you're on a website that allows ebates the extension will ask if you want to active when you first hit the site. Or you can go to ebates and select the store you want and it will open their site for you.

I'm just under $50 but half is from Maria referring me.

Referrals only get added once the person makes a purchase.

Gotcha. So not quite the same as Paribus, but something that can be used to compliment each other.

I must be a good shopper because I haven't gotten any Paribus.

I also haven't done anything with Ebates other than sign up and be annoyed by the extension popups.

Same here. I've been specifically ordering things from Amazon to trigger it, and apparently it's not finding any discounts. :/ Thanks Obama.

raised* the price. Unless they are actually employing someone named Mr. Price.
