This weekend or next would be a good time to lay down crabgrass preventative. I am doing the Menards 4 stage process this year.

Doing it Saturday morning. Menards sells Milorganite too? Does that have to be done in spring? Cost of that?

I think you need to wait a month or so for that. I is basically a 'greener', so I would wait until the grass starts growing nicely. Ask Simpson all your lawn questions...he used to work for TruGreen, so he is actually pretty knowledgeable. That is who I go to!

McNards makes MIRs pretty painless. On the receipt they have a form number and you grab it from customer service. 30 seconds to fill out.

Or, if you hate printing in those little boxes, you can fill out the rebate online and print it off. Menards Rebates

My neighbors lawn is a giant crab grass and leafy mold mess. I'm not sure it'll help to do anything to help me

Fight it! My neighbors don't let my crappy lawn creep into theirs.

I'll take a picture later. Their lawn is literally black.

Well, the reason it's black is because they didn't rake a single time last year. It killed the lawn and put mold all over. The only thing alive is creeping charlie

... In the 3 years I've rented my home, I've never raked and I definitely don't have this issue.
