We still throw treats or toys in to lure our new puppy into his kennel. Most of the time now he sees us with a treat near it he'll just run in and wait for it. We did the same with our older dog and she now does a lot of napping in her crate with the door open.

We do usually keep some toys in there for her, so that makes it easier. She was up kinda late playing with them last night which was funny but kind of annoying.

No way does the average person spend anywhere close to this a year on a dog. Dogs don't even get shots every year, and when they do it's not much more than $75 for the entire visit.

Roscoe is due for kennel cough shot, combo shot, heartworm/blood parasite test, intestinal parasite test. This will be more than $75

Just picked up a three month supply of flee meds and heartguard for each dog: about $150 each

Fran had her first puppy class last night. She was the youngest and smallest of all the dogs there but the trainers were impressed that she kept tussling with all the other dogs and didn't back down. There were also some very large therapy dogs there just as kind of "model" dogs for the puppies. Fran, being the smallest, obviously went to play with them right away when it was off-leash time.

Also, another cute thing. We stopped at Dairy Queen on the way home last night. Got a little cup of ice cream for Fran. She was licking it and loving it but then I think she got brain freeze. She suddenly stopped eating it, let out the most pitiful little whine/whimper, put her tail between her legs, and started shivering. Then after about a minute she started eating again. It was so sad and adorable.

We also took her out to her first brewery last night! She got lots of compliments about how cute she is (duh) and tried to play with the big dogs We we're surprised she had so much energy last night but today she's been ultra lazy.
