Weekend Plans

Postby Tyler » Fri Jun 03, 2016 1:41 pm

What's up this weekend? I am going to Chicago with the men-in-laws. Leaving tomorrow and staying the night. Catching the afternoon Cubs game on Sunday.

I think this will be my 5th MLB game*. I don't care for baseball at all, but I have always had fun at games. I had to buy a Cubs shirt just so I fit in. People who know baseball tell me a good pitcher is pitching so it might be a good game.

* 1. Orioles in Baltimore with a lof of the OG CPT guys
2. Metrodome Twins game when Corey's car got broken into
3/4. Target field with Corey
5. Wriggle Field this weekend.

I suppose I could snap a few pictures and not post them.

Generally I play Destiny on PS4 with Maria's brothers. But I might break away from that this weekend.

Slanggin' some Badger Hill beer for a couple hours this afternoon/evening.

Friend from college is getting married in New Ulm tomorrow so we'll head down there in the morning.
Sunday I assume will be a terrible hungover ride home and who knows what else.

Tyler, you get to see arguably the best pitcher in baseball, Jake Arrieta. He won Cy young (best NL pitcher) last year. Him and Kershaw are a dead heat to win this year again..

To sound knowledgeable, say you like Kris Bryant's BAPIP, showing improvement his 2nd year. Also talk about how you like Baez and his K/BB ratio and how his K rate is at a major league level that he can stay up in the bigs. Also touch on Zobrist and what a great add he was, although is FIP and XFIP are high, its somewhat sustainable considering style of play and high effort.

Cubs are insane right now! Tyler is getting a treat, Arrieta has 11 of 12 outs, via the K! How awesome. Wrigley is incredible, went to game last summer. Cubs vs Dodgers, Arrieta vs Kershaw... Cubs won, Bryant had 2 homeruns!

Sadly that's when his pitching peaked for the day. Was a fun time even with the loss

Someone stopped me at Sbarros and asked me details about the game. I must have looked like a deer in the headlights. "they scored more points than we did" *slowly back away*
