Raspberry Pi and arcade cabinets
Raspberry Pi and Arduino
My workshop... was the outside. I don't have the room for a workshop. I'll get pictures of my patio and tools when I get home tonight.

Google turns Raspberry Pi into a dirt cheap Home competitor
But you can only get the kit with the latest issue of MagPi magazine.
I need to remember to stop at Barnes and Nobel after work to get this.
Edit: Looks like they are sold out everywhere
Edit 2: You need to hit a button to use it, that's a deal breaker.

Yeah it would be completely pointless of I had to hit a button. Cool nonetheless.

Seriously though, I actually got these from a free giveaway on a site I follow... I probably have more stashed away somewhere.
Got another. Book #4
Re: Raspberry Pi and Arduino
Raspberry Pi 4 is a best. I need to think of a project for the 4gb version. I wonder if this could rival a Shield TV now.

Cool. I have no need for it, but I like to see the company making more tech toys.

I vote this, except make it full sized.
After thinking about building an arcade cabinet for 5+ years I finally pulled the trigger today on one. It is a plug-n-play full sized cabinet, but it has a lot of potential for hacking and modding. For the price point I couldn't have built something that was as capable and looked as nice. I'll post pictures next week when it comes.
Re: Raspberry Pi and arcade cabinets
I don't even have the cabinet yet, but peer pressured Tylersucks into getting one so we can compare scores on the online leaderboards
Raspberry Pi and arcade cabinets
Everything came yesterday. I got some matching arcade bar stools.
Very impressed with the cabinet so far. Was easy to put together and quality is very nice for the price. The stock games are pretty hit or miss, so I am happy there is an option to "mod" it and add ultimate games. I haven't messed with any of the PC streaming yet, but I did buy Injustice 2 and Mortal Kombat X for that.
I now understand why it is such a big deal Billy Mitchell used emulators to beat Donkey Kong. This literally has a rewind button that works for any game. It is very cool. If you mess up, just hit it and choose how far back you want to go. It also offers save states for most games.
I am finding I am not very nostalgic for most 80's games, but really enjoying the 90's stuff - like Metal Slugs. I played so much of that at the skating rink.
