You're such a one upper. You need a bigger desk! Like having your PC knocked over?

Update on my cable management:

I finally caved and bought a cable tray that was made for my desk. Here is before and after:

I like that you have a name plate on your home desktop setup.

It's so my wife knows whose desk it is!

Looks much better! Does it drive you crazy that the 2 monitors aren't aligned?

I imagine an adjustable desk works a lot better when the tower is on top of it? Would it work to have your baby tower on the file cabinet to the right?

I mainly use the ultrawide, and have the other monitor for something like email or IM. It's a truly secondary display for me so the alignment doesn't bother me too much.

The cords I have connecting the computer to the monitors, speakers, etc. are shorter than the power cords for everything, so it works best to have the computer closer to those things. I also have my router, cable modem, and phillips hue hub on that cabinet, so it would be a little crowded if I moved the computer there.

I like that your desk gained a cute quote block and an xbox controller. What have you been playing on your non-GPU PC?

The quote block is my wife's way of saying "I didn't have anywhere else to put this thing I bought to decorate the house." I was using the xbox controller to test out the Xbox One streaming from console to PC.

Let's see Erin's new work from home office now that it was moved out of the basement. How's the powerline adapters working?

What's going into basement bedroom?

They're working well. I don't believe she's had an issue since setting it up.

We'll move the extra bed down there and it'll be a guest room/storage, and the current guest room will be the baby's room.

Not much to take a picture of yet. We are gonna paint her office so we haven't decorated it so it's really just her desk/computer and a book shelf in there now.

Before/after of PC set-up. Love the raised monitors, tried to keep cables clean but I had put the tower on the right side of the desk which threw me off. I had a second plan for cable management but I wanted it done more than I wanted super clean cables. I still have to organize everything out of the old desk/bookshelf but it's going to be a massive improvement.

Drastic improvement! Better move that old desk or you're going to hit it all the time while playing VR.

Get a wireless mouse/keyboard to fix the cables.

Picking up a mouse and keyboard tomorrow hence why the cables are plugged in the front. Old desk will be gone soon. Trying to sell it but will probably go to Goodwill Thursday.

Where did you want it and why did it end up there?

I wanted it on the right side with the drawers on the left. Sarah said we should put drawers on right, I agreed, but didn't consider that there wouldn't be room next to the drawers for the tower. After sitting at the desk the tower can't go under anyways with the available leg room.

I just have to have a better solution for side tables than $15 Target tv trays :)

I'm jealous of how deep that desk is. Wish my desk was bigger

Desk is from IKEA. Liked being able to customize the desk. Opted for deeper vs. longer.

Do you feel like the monitors are too far from your face? I have monitor arm mounts at home and work and I sit a lot closer to my monitors than your new desk would allow.

I've been looking at Ikea desks lately. I wish they had more options in the color I want...brown/black.
