What the hell is that thing to the left of the desk?!?!

Not very exciting. It almost like it's the exact same setup before but just in a different house.

I was going to say, get the rollerblade wheels! Works on any surface! Even sand! :S

Corey has the rollerblade wheels!! We all got them over the last few months. I think he manly got the mat to protect th carpet.

I've had my office chairs on carpet for years. No mat. I notice no damage to the carpet. Is that just because you guys are big boned?

Maria wants to get a laptop. Ideally it would be a 2-in-1, and would be used for some light photo editing.
So I imagine screen resolution/size, a good processor, and maybe decent graphics card.
Brand doesn't necessarily matter. It just happens all the ones I found with pretty good specs are lenovo

I've seen a couple on slickdeals that might work for what she wants in her price range ~$800
Expired? Costco Deal
cheapest, non 2-in-1
in price range
just above price range

I think all of your links are integrated graphics. I would image photo editing is actually more CPU intense than GPU, unless she was rendering something? If she isn't going to game, then dedicated GPU won't be needed at all.

This is only $430, but doesnt have touch screen so deal breaker?

I think she's set on the a 2-in-1 but I will run it by her.

Which would make that Costco one the best deal right now. But we would need to purchase it through someone with a Costco membership. Her parents or sister might have one.

Let me know. I have a membership. I can share the login and she can even add her own card so we don't need to mess with sending money back and forth.

Perfect timing. In-laws are looking for a laptop. They have been buying sub $300 ones and want something speedier. They aren't interested in most of the features though since it will mostly be hooked up to a monitor. There is so much out there now. It's overwhelming

Again just above price range.

says 2K display 2256x1504 but specs say max screen resolution is 1280x720? Maybe I'm confusing two specs. The camera is 1280x720 in the description.

I would say the spec in that table is wrong. Everything else, including reviews, say 2k.

I pointed my inlaws to their local Walmart where there was some non-touch laptops for $520 with 8gb of ram, 512gb SSD, and decent Ryzen chip.
