Any update Corey?
Desk/PC Setups
I should have it set up today. Finally done putting the poly on it. Just need to attach the base to it

Re: RE: Desk/PC Setups
Running all the cables to the closet today as well? I'm excited to see all of that completed. That was my intent once, hide desktop in closet, run cables to closet, put new outlets behind monitors to hide power and run display cables through that.Corey wrote:I should have it set up today. That turned out great! We are all proud of you. That's so many cables going into the closet, haha, but I love the tower hiding away out of sight.

Oh yeah. Super duper spaghetti monster. I also have a dock for my work computer in the back right corner of the desk so all I have to do is switch the inputs to VGA for all 3 monitors to work with that.

You need a giant keyboard mouse pad now to protect your top

Re: Desk/PC Setups
Did you run your VR headset cables to the desk like mine, or do you need to open the closet door to play VR?
Re: RE: Re: Desk/PC Setups
It just comes out of the door. You can see my headset hanging on the door in the last picture. The hook was a 3m hook that fell off this morning so it'll probably just live under the computer stand. The hottest the computer gets would be when playing VR so it's not bad to kick the door open to get more airflow anyways.Tyler wrote:Did you run your VR headset cables to the desk like mine, or do you need to open the closet door to play VR?
Re: Desk/PC Setups
Ah. Didn't notice that before. Dust collects on the lenses when it's hung up like that anyways.
Re: Desk/PC Setups
Made some small tweaks and didn't want Corey to be the only one with a giant giant mousepad.
New mousepad, even bigger than my old big one
New USB 3.0 hub (hidden). Now my Oculus Go can charge from my PC and not have to go to the wall.
Another view of my monitor arm reenforcement. I had to lower both monitors since they were over an inch taller since adding the board and it was driving me crazy.
Really showing off my cable management compared to everyone else. If my power cables to monitors were a little longer I could have everything (but wall mounted Rift sensors) completely hidden.
Speaking of cable management, Corey you should mount a power strip under the desk on an extension cord. That way you only have 1 power cable going up, not 5 going down. You could hide a lot that way

Re: Desk/PC Setups
Cable management doesn't matter when you have cables running across the ceiling like I do.
Re: RE: Re: Desk/PC Setups
What cables? Those aren't even noticable!Corey wrote:Cable management doesn't matter when you have cables running across the ceiling like I do.
Re: Desk/PC Setups
Corey, how often do you use your desk in standing position?

Not very often. I haven't been working from home much though.

Ditched the clamp and bolted directly to my cheap Ikea desk top
