That's pretty good. I pay the same for the same download, but that upload is way better than mine (20mb/s). How many servers are you going to start hosting?

Oh, and I have a 999gb data cap that I sometimes get very close to hitting. No data cap fear would be amazing for me, but 95% of people aren't impacted by a cap.

$45 a month for 20/2. If we had cable we could get faster at a better rate but we don't want cable. At least we don't have a cap

That's a pretty good price. I will be paying that much for 40/20.
Corey's price is ridiculous.

Oh yeah, way faster than you need. Do you have a decent router? I imagine you won't be seeing speeds near that on WiFi unless you do.

I don't think I get anywhere close to 1TB but I can see that changing for a lot of people who rely more on streaming services than I do.

1TB is plenty for the average family, at least until 4k becomes the standard.

Streaming in 1080p on Netflix takes up 4.7GB/hour.
However, with 4K, 18.8GB/hour.
Even if you're streaming with the new h.265 codec—which cuts the bit rate by about half, but still hasn't found its way into many consumer products—you're still looking at 7GB/hour.

So streaming 7 hours per day on 1 device at 1080p is 1TB by my math.

Thats not at all unreasonable for us cord cutters. Sarah and I are usually streaming on 2 devices at the same time for at least 4 hours a day so thats over 1TB. Thats not even including general internet usage.

I'm certain our average usage doesnt really total over 1tb, but im just using the data tyler gave.

Brad, do you have comcast? Regardless of who you have you should be able to view your usage over the past few months. I am curious what that is. Go look!

Also, streaming from Plex is far far less than 5gb/hr.

We Average 250GB a Month. We have Time Warner. Our highest single day usage was 50GB last monday.

We have already used 150gb this month with us both being home more often.

I can totally see a family of 4 using 1TB if they all stream TV instead of having Cable.

Just checked and we have used 62GB so far this month. Although we were gone for the first 4 days of the month.
Had a total of 105GB last month but again, we were gone a lot and I wasn't even fully moved in so we weren't there full time.

Guys...I feel dumb. I know the difference between a bit and a byte. 1 byte = 8 bits. 1 bit is either 0 or 1. But I never made this connection with internet speed.

I have a 100Mbps plan. That little "b" means bit, not byte. That means I can download 12.5 MB per second.

I've never don't the math, I knew what it stood for. This makes it mostly disappointing I only have 30Mbps
