Nope. Google wants you to use the Home or Express app in hopes of you ordering things through their Express store. You can still share the list, but you need a different app now to view/update it.

In a plus side, multi-user controller is just around the corner. I'm not as excited about that though. Using one account on our Home offers no drawbacks for our use case.

IFTTT supports Google Home now (or has for awhile). I will be playing around with this.

That's poopy. I just reinstalled ifttt and there are some new Alexa applets that I will be using. I hated todoist but I can now text myself my shopping list or sync it with one note. I still wish it synced to keep but I like one note also.

I was hoping Alexa and Home could use Keep via IFTTT, but nope :(

I use OneNote at work for all my note taking, but I haven't thought to use it at home or on my phone for lists.

Welp too good to be true. It creates a septate note for each individual item added to the list. I'll keep playing around with the functions though.

This is fun to use.
Hey Google, what's the status of Evie's diaper?
"It is overflowing. I can smell it from here and I don't even have a nose"

Hey Google, how is Jocelyn today?
"She is as beautiful as ever and smarter than you"

The prompt and responses are really easy to set up. The response isn't technically the "than that" part of the equation so you need to have it do something pointless if all you want is the voice feedback. I have Google Home add a row to a random excel as the action just so I can hear the response.

You can also pick up to 3 prompts per activity. So "How is Evie's diaper", "Does Evie need changing?", "What is the status of Evie's diaper?"

It doesn't look like I can tell Alexa what phrase to respond with through ifttt. Probably need to use the skills program.

Lame. I set some up to freak my parents out when they visit this weekend.

"Hey Google, who are the most popular people in Sheldon, IA?"
Deb and Gary

Anyone have any other ideas to trick my parents?

Multiple users is now live. I'm still upset about the shopping list thing. Hopefully this new update allows family members to see a shared list.

Checking in and saying using the Google Home app vs Google Keep sucks. The lists aren't even in the Home app. It opens a web browser instead.

Still complaining about this.

On a plus side, Google Home added shortcuts. It eliminates the need of IFTTT for some things.

I like this feature, but it's not something that comes up often for me.

I assume it's a much bigger deal to someone like Corey, who has to say long strings to get lights to turn on/off.

Naturally, today Apple unveiled their competitor to the Google Home/Amazon Echo that costs twice as much. Looks like it will still be as limited as Siri though...

Wow... "Apple HomePod". Terrible name imo. Unfortunately Google beat them to "Home", I guess.

And they already used up the name iHome on a different product.

Is iHome an Apple product? I always assumed it was just a license deal.

I have no idea. I assumed it was but maybe it's a 3rd party product for apple devices.

Just checked. I was right, you are wrong. Apple does not own iHome to any capacity.
