Yeah, that actually sounds reasonable then. Going to do it?

Probably. Also doing the deck this year so just have to figure out the money logistics of both of those payments

Hiring the deck out? What does that include? Tear down and build new? Pics. Plans. Etc needed

The base structure is in great shape it's just the top boards and railings we need done. Yes hiring it out again because I work so many hours. Really nothing special just a square deck with stairs, about 10x10 size.

Yes. Exactly but cheaper.
I applied this today now that the snow is gone.

My lawn will look like shit this year because my weed killer killed huge patches of weeds last fall but seeding this fall should fill that all in nicely.

Good luck! I'll be mowing this weekend for the first time. I have spots I need to seed more, but i can't do that since I already did stage 1 stuff.

I'm going to try to patch some areas up this weekend and rake up the leaves I didn't get to before snow started last fall.

Spring is kind of here, expect for the MN guys who are getting 20 inches of snow this week.

Has anyone put down lawn care stuff? The new house is pretty good, but will need a little work

I caved last year and started service with Weed Man. I slacked the first year and a half with our lawn and it had gotten pretty bad. I only have them do regular treatments as they charge way too much for aeration and overseeding so I pay a local guy $50 to aerate and do the overseeding myself. Our lawn looks a lot better this spring. Probably better than it has ever looked since we moved in 3 years ago. I plan to keep using Weed Man until it's in a good state and then take over myself. So far they have come out for one treatment this year.

A Plus Lawn & Landscape. I worked for them over summer break after my freshman year in college. I was not a fan of the way they treated employees so I chose to give Weed Man a shot. Also one of my former colleagues told me they ruined his yard and refused to fix it.

I had perfectly thick green grass last summer

Have 2 dogs so there were a few smaller yellow spots but mainly in one area.

Now this spring so far, I have some pretty intense yellow spots throughout most of the backyard and parts on the side. I sent a photo to my lawn guy (who hasn't came out yet) and he thought it was from the dogs but will check it out. He said it shows up from the winter in early spring. Hoping once the grass really starts to fill in, this will all go away

I skipped the fall weed and feed last fall because I overseeded. The lawn looks worse this year so hopefully it comes back better later this spring.

I was planning on doing the halts crabgrass with lawn food this weekend but snow will likely ruin that plan.

Good work Corey. So you didn't have any seed to put down first? That's where I struggle. Do I want to put down crabgrass preventer and not be able to lay seed this spring, or put down seed and spot treat crab grass with my 4 gallon backpack sprayer

I put down seed last fall so I'm good. I don't think it was super successful though other than the bare spots I made sure to water.
