I still have the app. I check it maybe twice a day. I can't remember the last time I made a post other than sharing my band's shows.

The only time I've been on my account the past few months was to make sure you were alive. I forgot you were on vacation and thought it was strange we hadn't seen you awhile. Of course you had no posts about vacation so it wasn't helpful.

Facebook says 50m user accounts affected by security breach
Nearly 50m Facebook accounts were compromised by an attack that gave hackers the ability to take over users’ accounts, Facebook revealed on Friday.

The breach was discovered by Facebook engineers on Tuesday 25 September, the company said, and patched on Thursday. Users whose accounts were affected will be notified by Facebook. Those users will be logged out of their accounts and required to log back in.

Facebook is blocking users from posting stories about its security breach.

Ignoring the breach entirely; blocking users from posting about it is very scummy.

I deleted the app from my phone, but I'll keep my account for now. I use it for music stuff.

I deleted my FB account on Christmas Eve. So far my life hasn't fallen apart. Jocelyn's reaction when she figured it out after a couple of weeks "I guess I'm not married to anyone now". I don't think that's how it works.

I still use. Do I post a lot? No. Just occasional photos to share with family/friends

Also use a lot for events. Someone I used to work with was without Facebook and he never had a clue about events in town

Local news for new restaurants opening, etc, Facebook is my go to as well

True about events. I'll never to to Wagner's house again because of that.

While I haven't completely deleted my FB account, I do only check it from a computer about twice a day. Once during work usually around lunch or late in the day when I'm bored and once usually before I get ready for bed. Most of it's to check events at the local bar where the majority of bands play.

I check it about 3 times a week mostly for people who communicate to the golf course through it.
