Who is excited for WW3?

Postby kyle » Fri Apr 07, 2017 9:31 am

So this happened last night...

http://www.cnn.com/2017/04/06/politics/ ... index.html

All jokes aside I'm terrified this could start the next world war... I guess we will see what happens next.

59 missiles were launched and only 6 were killed. I find that interesting when dozens were killed in the chemical attacks. Just shows are precious the military works and that their targets were weapons, not people.

True. And hopefully Syria and Russia just take this as a deterrence against using chemical agents, and not a sign for war. But from what I am reading online neither are taking it very well... :(

I read Russia was warned ahead of time and they removed their planes.

Just from skimming the article, it appears that the missiles were launched at a time where there was to be like... no activity... the intent apparently was to destroy the planes and equipment used to perform the chemical attacks and nothing else. So I suppose, in the intent of avoiding causing further deaths, they were fairly successful all things considered. Which under those specific presumptions I can see that being a good thing. Get rid of the weapons, spare the people. In theory it's a great concept.

But yeah. My money is down for WWIII happening. If the grids shut down, my fiancé is a professional blacksmith and has all the equipment to keep his forge running sans electricity so... if you guys know how to find me, we can hook you up lol

Plus side is, we camp a lot so we have plenty of cast iron, a few decent tents, and a pretty large canvas tent (granted its currently sideless). Don't worry kiddos. We'll teach ye in the ways of olde.

*shameless plug* We'll be at Renaissance Faire at Sleepy Hollow and Renfaire After Dark

Remind me of the Sleepy Hollow one when it gets closer. I haven't been to one of these fairs for decades.

Will do. It's always the first three weekends immediately following the State Fair.

Ugh, few things give me more anxiety than Trump. My only reassurance is that there is nothing of large significance near me for other countries to retaliate on. Not that I don't worry about other people who are near those kinds of locations... but anxiety only offers so much room for "concern for others" lol

I live close enough to Minneapolis/St Paul that I would be vaporized by a nuclear bomb :violin:

But MN is so far inland that you don't need to worry?

One advantage to the Midwest ^ lol

and the mother of all bombs killed 36 ISIS fighters. Wonder if the mother of all bombs was really needed? especially at that price tag

The craziest shit, is we are basically picking fights with Syria, Russia, and North Korea simultaneously. Russia is interferring with us even doing an investigation of chemical bombs. It's legitimately terrifying.
