Real Camera vs Cell Phone Camera

Postby Tyler » Mon Jun 12, 2017 7:44 am

Does anyone carry a camera with them for pictures? We leave for LA on Wednesday and I haven't even thought about packing my point-and-shoot Sony camera. It is a decent camera with a much nicer zoom than my phone, but it's not as convenient. I feel silly, but it's a hassle to pack a 2nd device, charger, SD cards, etc. When I get home I would then have to add the pictures to my computer. Having a phone with you all the time is just so much easier and pictures are automatically backed up.

The last time I used a real camera was probably our honeymoon. My camera shot better pictures than my phone then, but I wonder if I could even tell a difference against the Pixel.

I really like the camera we got for our wedding. Pics turn out really good and it's fun to use. I don't usually have it with me, pretty much only when we go on vacations. Last used it when we were up north on Memorial Day weekend.

What kind of camera is it?

I knew you used a real camera because you would mass upload them to Facebook a week after a trip.

Gotcha. So an entry level DSLR. You're so fancy! How many lenses do you have?

I took some sweet pics in colorado. As long as you are still, phone cameras are on par with SOME digital cameras.
