Getting ready for gardening season. I'm trying something new and attempting to grow hops this year. Ordered the rhizomes online and they're already growing well in the pots. I'm a little worried they're growing too quickly before I can get them transplanted. I built a small addition onto our raised garden for them and will build a trellis system for them to grow up as well. Here they are in the pots inside currently. ImageImage

Are you doing this because all the liquor stores are closing because of COVID?

But for real, that's some nice growth

Haha, I don't know if I'll actually use any of the hops that end up producing. I just thought it would be fun to try growing them.

We'll see how much it actually produces. From what I've read, the first year is pretty low yield and they don't produce fully until the 3rd year of growth.
