Same opinion as last year, this is dumb. It's Sunday night and neighbors are going at it. Luckily Evie seems to be sleeping through it, but I bet the other numbers are all lucky. Roscoe (dog) is also very nervous about it all.

If you want to do fireworks go do it with Hussbuss in the country.

Most of the fireworks here are done during the day. Nothing at night yet, but maybe it's just drown out by the stock car racing.

I've only heard a few so far and they seem to be off in the distance so not too loud for us. Luckily the dog isn't fazed by them.

Does Hy-vee and Fareway each have one in their parking lot? Firework sellers love renting out parking lots it seems

It's always funny to see the parking lot fireworks stores here because it's pretty much just a hundred different varieties of sparklers.

Hy vee does not, the grassy area buy shopko has one but they were not supposed to be selling fire works cuz they did not meet the dead line for the permit. but the other day they where trying to be sneaky selling them anyway.

We thought about taking Evie to see real fireworks last night, but she kept saying the little ones in our neighborhood were "too woud" and scary so we figured the real deal would really freak her out. Also, 10 PM on a work night for dad is too late.

I think the town still allows them to be shot off through this weekend. Ugh.

We planned on going to a bunch of them, but man, Milo is sketchy af. We saw some dude who looked like a cariacture drunk man. There was a state trooper parked right behind him, but he wasn't pulled over..he was just standing next to his car with his keys in his hand, looking like he was ready to drive away.

Ended up raining, so we just did a bunch of stuff at home.

We didn't go see any this year. Heard them last night at home. Luckily the dog doesn't care or react to them.
