Yesterday I had my first near-bridezilla experience. Tyler and fam came over and during the tour of our house Tim sweetly gave Evie one of our wedding flowers. We have a bunch of different kinds of flowers for decorations but a limited amount of each kind of flower and I only really like the peonies. He gave her one of our limited peonies and I had an internal panic. I was so torn between needing that peony and wanting that sweet girl to have a flower.
I did nothing and luckily she left it behind.
I feel ashamed that I even considered saying something but am proud that I have not let bridezilla take over.
This is my confession.

I told Tim that he shouldn't be doing that!!!! I pretended not to notice when you pinched Evie so she would drop it.

Oh weddings. I loved our wedding, but as others have said it's more stressful than it should be. As far as the dress- I chose not to show people outside of my immediate family and bridesmaids. I made a comment to him once about my yoga sculpt teacher putting in some tougher moves for me ("operation bridal back!") and he guessed I'd have a low/open back. Which I did. Whoops, oh well. As cheesy as it sounds, when you find that dress that makes you feel beautiful and still "like me", that's the one to get.

I also did fake flowers from an etsy shop. I'm not a big fan of flowers, so I liked that I was able to get 24 pieces made (bridal party, grandparents, siblings and godparents) for less than $300. We splurged on a band, but I was dancing the entire night and many commented about how they also loved it so #noregrets

Good luck!!

First and only wedding I've been to that had a band. That was fun. Not as good as listening to the radio, but a close second

Sarah bought flowers from a local shop by the bucket and made her own bouquet and table arrangements from them. No idea what it cost but it was far cheaper than pre done arrangements

If Jocelyn and I get married we are going to hire a live podcast recording to be our entertainment. Either Good Job Brain or Trivia Warfare.

It would be friends and family only, so don't worry about being invited.

Wait, you're still a year away?!?! This whole time I thought the wedding was in maybe a couple months!

That's what makes Kath so crazy passionate. She did more while 15+ months out from her wedding than most do in the 6 months leading up to it.

hahahaha.

In all seriousness it's a good thing we are so far out. our venue is already booked all through 2018 except for a few fridays. our photographer is also pretty much booked. the music is a hot commodity also.

And now we are able to pay down the rest of the cost of everything over 12 months instead of super crazy like 3 months.
