Question of the Day

ejhartman91 wrote:Source of the post Ok here's one I've always wanted to know. Toilet lids in your house. Open or closed? We keep ours closed. I think growing up at my parents' house they were always left open but at some point in my life I decided I preferred them closed.

Closed is certainly the nicer look, but I rarely think to do it that way. If I go #1 I will at least put the seat back down, but I will not think to grab the lid as well.

I guess now that Evie is going potty nearly on her own lifting the seat would be an extra step she would have to do.

Kind of a mixture of open and closed. really depends on my ambitions for the day.

Question of the Day

Postby wags83 » Tue Feb 19, 2019 10:10 am

I heard a long time ago that germs spray up into the air every time the toilet is flushed (not sure if that's true) but it has made me be a lid closed kind of guy.

Does that mean you close before flushing?

So you don't put your face directly over the pot to make sure your logs go down?

Yes

Edit: Well, if I'm being honest I usually hit the flusher knob and then close the lid as the flush starts.

Closed. It is my FU to the women who complain about the toilet seat being up. If I have to put the seat down, I will close the lid so they have to do extra work as well

Are you too cool to run inside when it's cold out?
I dropped off Evie/Jocelyn at the mall entrance yesterday because it was below zero out. I had to park way at the back of the lot. You better believe I did a half run/walk to get inside and warm up. I noticed no one else was in as much of a hurry as I was to get inside. Are they too proud to run?

I park pretty close at work, but some mornings I will do a little run to get inside a little quicker if it is cold.

When drinking a beverage with a screw top, do you screw it close between every drink?

Only if it's carbonated. I am not a fan of my carbonated drinks going flat. Especially with kombucha.

I think yes, but I don't often have screw top drinks.
