Is that why new ones feel better? Makes sense, I guess they do get loose after awhile.

Slightly chilly wind in the fall where it would be too cold if you didn't have a jacket, but with a jacket it's perfect.

Somewhere in the 10-15 range for an individual item.

We got a bunch of flooring samples that cost $.25 each and my FIL suggested returning them. The total is less than $3 so I won't do it.

Mr. Moneybags over here!

I'm not sure, I don't often return things. We've returned diapers to exchange sizes when JJ grew out of them, although I don't think Target allows that anymore.

Lol. I wouldn't even consider that either

Unopened in the box? No way they dont let you return that?

I guess it depends on where I buy the item. I'll return $5 items to Menards, but I don't make a special trip for it. I just return it next time I am there because they make it easy with the receipt kiosk. If I bought something from Amazon and need to mess with mailing it back I usually draw the line at like $15-20

I return a lot of video games on Steam/Oculus. Those are usually around $15-$20 as well.

According to Erin's cousin-in-law who works for Target, it's a new policy. It used to be just bring in the box and swap for new size. Now they do something like "We can give you $5 store credit". I can't remember the exact reasoning. Something like there could possibly be foreign material in the unopened boxes through the handle holes, so they don't take them anymore.

Shoes. So many weird rules for them when indoors.
At home do you leave your shoes on or off?
Do you take them off to keep the house clean or to be more comfortable?
Why don't we take shoes off at work if that is more comfortable?

I take mine off at home mostly for comfort. I've always had jobs where I'm on my feet a lot so I can't say I would ever take them off at work.

I am pretty sure I take them off as soon as I walk in the door, but now I am not sure. I will try pay attention tonight. I do leave them on if I know I will be leaving soon or going in/out.

When I go to someone's house I take them off if I notice they have theirs off - that is for a courtesy thing, not comfort.

I had a coworker who would always take his shoes off at his desk. Would put them back on when he had to leave his desk though so most people didn't notice.

I like having something on my feet and wear slippers around my house. So technically, off.

Curbside trashcans. Do you keep them in the garage or outside?

Our HOA doesn't allow them to be visible from the street unless within 24 hours of pickup date so we keep ours in the 3rd car stall in our garage.

Our HOA is the same, but I see a lot of people having them around the side of the garage.

Currently mine are in the 3rd stall as well. At my previous house I kept them outside since it was only a 2 stall. I am considering keeping mine outside again because the 3rd stall is quickly filling up with kid stuff and tools. A shed will be in my future.

Of course the sucky thing about keeping it outside is running out there every couple of days in the dead of winter.

Outside. I keep it up against my back porch so I can quickly toss a trash bag in without having to venture too far from my back door.

A lot of my neighbors often keep their trash can next to the road for the majority of the week. That just sounds awful.

Question of the Day

Funny story about this. We have a perfect little spot for garbage cans right outside our garage. It's a 2-stall garage with an extra wide driveway and the driveway pavement extends a bit past the front edge of the garage, leaving a perfect paved spot for both the garbage and recycling. In fact, it's where the previous owners had kept their garbage cans (as far as I know, for all 10 years they lived there). When we moved in in June of 2017, I continued their tradition of keeping the garbage cans in the spot seemingly made for them. About a month or two into our tenure of living in our house, I get a letter from some C U Next Tuesday from the city saying it's a city ordinance that garbage cans cannot be visible from the street and this is my first warning and further warnings could result in fines. So after almost a decade of the garbage cans being in their spot on the side of the garage, I get bitched out after a couple months.

Anyway, I now keep them on the paved patio behind the garage, still outside but not visible from the street.
