1998's Small Soldiers. It was rated PG-13 and I would have been 9.

Business side down, it is easier to pick them all up then. My mom is a business side up lady.
Tyler dishwasher lifehack: put the knives in the far back spot so dogs licking the tray don't cut their tongues and harder for kids to reach.

You are supposed to put them down. You guys haven't read the stories about people tripping into their dishwasher and killing themselves because they get stabbed by all of the knives??

This is what i do. I've only cut my hands with the knives 6 thousand times, so overall worth it.

Our dishwasher is horrible at getting knives clean so we usually just hand wash them anyway. Otherwise I'm a business side up kind of guy.

I can't remember the first overall movie without adult supervision, but I do remember my first R-rated movie without adult supervision was Deep Blue Sea.

My first horror movie without supervision was Critters when I was six. My dad is an idiot and thought I could handle it. I had nightmares for like...5 years.

As a side note: I probably handled it better at six than Tyler could now.

I assume at home and not theater? Because...
1) critters came out the year you were born (or a year earlier)
2) a 6 year old should not be at a theater alone, regardless of the movie

Correct, at home. Theater was George of the Jungle. Scary for different reasons.

1) initial thought is the remake of Amityville Horror.
2) Don't have a dishwasher. usually business side up for drying purposes except knives. Always down for knives.

Amityville Horror can't be right Danny, that movie came out while we were in high school.

It came out in April 2005. I would have been 15 at the time. I think that was my first Rated R movie without adult supervision.
I went to a Knight's Tale without an adult. I would have been at 11 when that came out.

Ahh. Knight's Tale makes more sense. I just assumed you had seen movies without an adult prior to 15

I interpreted the question as first "Rated R" movie seen without adult supervision. I'm sure I've seen movies without adult supervision prior to A Knight's Tale.

Grew up in a small town in the 70s and 80s, where they had matinees for kids. We go to cross town at the age of 8. So I'm sure this isn't my first movie without an adult but first one I remember is Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.

all depnds on how dirty the silverware is... business up if it needs extra cleaning, otherwise its down.
