I don't remember for sure but I want to say 128GB. I'd have to look though.

Question of the Day

Postby ejhartman91 » Mon Dec 30, 2019 1:53 pm

My desktop computer. I built it in 2013 and the only thing I've done since is add more RAM (RAM sticks I replaced with are from the same year) and add another SSD (I still use the original). Does that count?

No. Lol. 2013 isn't that long ago! That CPU must be 4th gen?

Close. 3rd gen. The 4th gen chips came out a month or two after I built. Thing still runs beautifully though.

If I remember right you don't even have a GPU so just email and internet machine? No need to upgrade for awhile then.

Correct. I do not game on it. I do, however, use it when working from home. As long as it runs Visual Studio well and any other apps I use for work I will not need to upgrade the CPU, mobo, etc.

I use an older laptop of mine at work as a secondary point if sale, at home almost everything I own is relatively new. When something starts to age I usually find a way to integrate it into what I do at work.

Question of the Day

My sister's and I got our parents a weekend in Minneapolis (hotel stay, restaurant gift cards, and whatnot). Since they didn't have much to open with that gift, I made a video explaining it...except I made the beginning of the video seem like they were getting a Caribbean vacation. Totally got them and it was funny.

I received mostly gift cards which I am using to get an Oculus Quest. Should be here Friday.

Still can't believe they actually thought you guys would spend thousands of dollars on them like that.

Wow..must have been backordered or something.

Gave:
Gave both sets of our parents a digital calendar/Life360 display. The kids can add the grandkids events to their calendars now and everyone can be tracked - My mom and MIL love tracking us all.

Jocelyn works in a room with no windows so gave her a light therapy desk lamp from Shark Tank, along with a Google Nest Home Hub (awful name).

Evie got a lot of crafts and games that she has been enjoying.

Received:
Ray Band sunglasses from MIL. I've never owned nice sunglasses before.

Erin has been talking about getting one of these. Let me know if it works for her.

Maybe not a Christmas gift exactly but we got a dog a couple days ago. A 2 year old Shepard mix, he's still adjusting to Marshall but overall it's great.

Best given was probably just going out to visit family

Gave: My FIL really liked his Wyze cam we got him (also got him a nice knife sharpener he had been wanting). MIL loved her cold brew coffee maker and my mom loved her Instant Pot.

Received: My wife got me tickets to a Third Eye Blind concert and my sister got me a nice resistance band set.

Oh that reminds me, Erin got us tickets to see Nikki Glaser's stand up for later next month. That will be a fun gift too.

Almost as fun as Dancing With the Stars Live that we will be seeing next month?

Did you tell him about the Wyze data breach? I did not bother telling my dad who owns 4 Wyze cams.
What kind of knife sharpener?

Food leftovers. Do you bring them to work for lunch or save for dinner the next night?

Restaurant leftovers if it's only mine - take to work
Home cooked leftovers and enough for everyone - save for home.

We love meals where it lasts us 3 nights, saves a lot of (Jocelyn) time not having to cook those nights.

Save them for home. Usually have three nights a week with leftovers.
