Question of the Day
When the kids are playing with my put together lego sets.
This an unfair question, because I don't have kids. When Maria's nieces or nephews are over though we have to tell they can't play with the lego sets on display. I did get my old lego from my parents, so they can build and demolish those now.
Also they have to share when playing video games otherwise no one gets to play.

Don't feel like this deserves a new thread, so piggybacking here.
Remember in college, not even 10 years ago for some of us, we wouldnt even go to the bars until midnight? Watching Falcon and Winter Soldier and they said "my shift ends at 10, you can pick me up then" and it made me realize how lame I am. If I crack a beer at home after 10 I consider myself crazy now.

Question of the Day
On weekends I usually stay up until 1230-1am, but I don't want to go anywhere after like 7pm.

Lol, I was kinda thinking of that too when she said that in the show. I remember back at my college job, I would be stoked to get off work by 10:30 or so because that meant there was still plenty of time to meet up with friends at the bar.

Question of the Day
QotD: Common phrases that annoy you?
(Insert thing) was not on my Bingo card!
I heard it sparingly before 2020, but once the wackiness of covid, protests, the election, and other events started picking up I heard it all the time.
I understand the context and meaning of the phrase. However, if everyone had the same bingo card, then no one would win.

Re: Question of the Day
I didn't hear that one in person in 2020, but saw it online all the time. Yes, annoying.

Question of the Day
Kitchen sink. Single or Double Basin. What do you have and what do you prefer?
Question of the Day
Our house has a single basin. I have always had double and I think I prefer double, but single hasn't been too bad.

Same. This new house has a single and its the first time I've had that setup. With a dishwasher I prefer single since it looks nicer, but if you didn't have a dish washer you need double.

Question of the Day
I've never had a single-basin. I like the double-basin because even though we have a dishwasher we still hand-wash a fair amount of stuff. The only problem I have with our current setup is that the small basin is where the garbage disposal is hooked up and it seems like it should be hooked up to the large side.
Question of the Day
I think I'd prefer a single large basin instead of 2.
Obviously we have a double basin.

Question of the Day
My old house had a really deep single basin and I loved that. Not a big fan of the double.

Re: Question of the Day
Staying on the kitchen theme. I can't believe we haven't asked this before. Does the toaster live on the counter or in a cupboard? I grew up in a toaster put away family, so I find myself putting the toaster away when it is left out on the counter by Jocelyn who grew up in a toaster always out family.
We use the toaster pretty often, it could live out, but I hate a cluttered counter.

Question of the Day
We have a large convection toaster oven that is used a lot and is too big to move around often. It sits in the corner on our kitchen counter.

Question of the Day
Due to a small kitchen, a double basin to hand wash dishes, and the toaster gets put away.
Question of the Day
Cash
Who carries cash? About how much? -- Other than an emergency $50 bill I've had in my wallet for 15+ years, I almost never have cash on me. I only do when the kids get it as a gift and I take it for myself (and then transfer money to their accounts online)
Do you have a cash hidden in the house for emergencies? -- Evie has more cash in her piggie bank than I do in the house. We have none.
Disclaimer: I promise I am not going to rob you

Question of the Day
Any cash I have on me is because someone gave me cash for one reason or another. It takes a while for me to use it and is generally used at the a bar when I do.
Not necessarily emergency cash, but I do have some at home. Again I have it because I was given cash for one reason or another.

Question of the Day
We're a toaster out family. Not even sure where I'd put it if I wanted it put away.
I usually have a little bit of cash but not much at all on me. The cash I have at the house is usually from if I had a bartending shift and haven't had a chance to take it to the bank.

Question of the Day
Well since I work at a bar and bartend and also give golf lessons I sometimes have a lot of cash on me. Currently I have about $600 on me as I've been lazy about going to my bank.
