Breakfast

Postby Tyler » Mon Aug 21, 2017 3:21 pm

Who eats it? What do you eat?

Since HS I have basically been skipping breakfast. I'll go in spurts where I'll keep a box of poptarts (sorry Erin!) at work, but after that runs out I forget to refill it. This is my 2nd week of getting a box of muffins on the way to work on Monday. That lasts me through Thursday.

When I wake up in the morning (5:30), I want to get to work as quickly as I can, so I don't want to take the time to eat something at home. Usually a cop of coffee can hold me off until 11:15 when I eat an early lunch.

Most of the time I eat vomit eggs and toast. They are scrambled eggs but I add some much stuff to the eggs it looks and smells rotten. Actually its pretty good though. My girlfriend does not like them. Its all healthy stuff in it though. Image

I also am of the sort that typically does not eat breakfast. there are certain days when i am just ridiculously hungry so i'll just grab a sandwich from upstairs at work.

During the week I usually just have something I can grab as I'm going out the door, which is typically a banana or granola bar. We usually make something a bit more substantial like eggs and whatnot on the weekends when I don't have to be anywhere.

How can you not eat breakfast?! I'm dead tired if I don't have something in my stomach in the morning. I mix it up a lot. Mainly trying to get as much fiber and protein as I can in the mornings. Lately I've been on an overnight oats kick. Occasionally I'll do a loaded protein shake. Sometimes I'll get an omelette or breakfast sandwich from the cafeteria at work though.

I HAVE to eat breakfast. I love the carby breakfast items but try to steer clear. If I had time I would make eggs of some sort everyday but I never make the time. I usually have a breakfast sandwich (lite), oatmeal with protein powder, protein bar, plus yogurt or fruit.

Biscuits and gravy is my number one, too. Particularly the biscuits and gravy from the Crystal Cafe near where I live.
Hashbrowns with cheese has to be up there too.

Haha oh Tyler you and those PopTarts. My weekday breakfast is pretty simple- oatmeal with plain Greek yogurt on top or a slice of PB toast. With coffee, duh.

I love doing homemade, hearty pancakes or eggs on the weekend. French Toast is another fun weekend breakfast that I should make more often.

Of course, that has been my go to lately, but a hot breakfast is better.

Isn't it weird that bagels and donuts are considered breakfast food. But the same isn't said for muffins and cupcakes.
