And Disney won out. Fox accepted their bid. Over $71.3 billion.

I really do not like media companies getting this big. Even if their intentions are literally just to expand on their universes, it also comes down to something more insidious in the long-run. Look at how Sinclair forces their stations into provoking political messages. Look what clearchannel did to radio. The smaller the pool of independently run companies, the lower quality and more biased it becomes.

TLDR: f this.

Would have been silly if Disney shut the door on all of Fox R rated franchises. Wonder if they will slowly stop making R rated movies that AREN'T big franchises though.

The website for The Walt Disney Company updated its banner. It now includes The Shape of Water, Avatar, Deadpool, The Simpsons and Atlanta.

I feel dumb, when I read "Planet of the Apes" I thought of the Marky Mark movie for some reason. I completely forgot about the new trilogy that I really enjoyed.
