Biggest con is no dock. Need to manually plug in and charge

wow if we didn't just get a vacuum from Costco a few months ago, would honestly purchase this
For $99 you still should! But like I said, not having a dock would make it pretty sucky. Couldn't schedule it to run everyday without having to plug it in between.

that's true. Probably will wait until our current one clunks out and spend the $$ for a better robot one in the future

Is the Costco one robot or manually? Robot doesn't replace a traditional upright vacuum by any means. You need both.

Nice! We got a shark for our wedding. Almost 5 years old and going strong. My money likes it more than her Dyson that cost 2-3x as much.

We also have a shark one. We both hate vacuuming though so that's why we got the robot. I did use the shark after prepping our walls for paint.

I have family visiting tonight so I used the real vacuum on the main floor where the robot runs everyday. The Shark still sucked up a crap ton of Roscoe hair, but not nearly as bad as it usually is. I think robot does an excellent job of getting surface level hair/dirt and making you feel like the room is clean, but you're still going to want to use a real vacuum semi regularly if you have pets to get deep into the carpet.

If I didn't have a high shedding dog I could probably get by on just the robot for months unless something was spilled.

My Eufy does have a turbo mode. Maybe I need that on all the time, but it's louder and uses more battery. I think right now it's suppose to be smart enough to switch on when needed but not sure how well that works.

Any ideas to help with this? I can fix the couch now easily, but I don't want it to keep happening. Find some kind of rubber piece to glue around the top of the robot?

This should do the trick, as long as it doesn't interfere with the docking

We just got the Ecovacs Deebot N79S. It's basically the N79 + a power suction mode and it supports Alexa (we won't use that feature though because we are a Google Assistant house). So far it has been ok with the exception of it getting stuck on the side of our long pile, plushy area rug. I need to figure out how to keep it off the rug. Any suggestions?

No ideas about rug. I've modified furniture so it doesn't get stuck, but I haven't had a problem with a rug. Throw it out and get a new one.

I'm still loving my vacuum. Its so satisfying to empty everyday since the dog is shedding. I use to find tufts all over, but not anymore.

I would like to get one for each floor, but it would constantly get stuck on Evie toys in basement and I doubt it could manuver upstairs hallway, bedrooms, and phone chargers.

I'm fairly certain my wife would not support this option.

Also, has anyone named their robot vacuum(s)? I saw Tyler gave his a mouth and some eyes. My wife likes calling ours "Bob."

The eyes and mouth have since been torn off. We just call ours "robot" since that's what Evie calls him. Simpanico named his Alice, as in the Brady Bunch maid.
