Robot Vacuums
I was going to tell my parents to buy the Wyze Vac for their house, but after hearing about Brad's issues, I decided to steer them to the Roborock S6 Pure that was on sale this week. Also they wanted a vacuum that had mopping features (despite my suggestions otherwise since the "mopping" on most robo vacs is just dragging a wet rag across the floor).

This one? You made them spend $380?!ejhartman91 wrote:I was going to tell my parents to buy the Wyze Vac for their house, but after hearing about Brad's issues, I decided to steer them to the Roborock S6 Pure that was on sale this week. I have started a second support ticket now. I'll likely call my credit card Monday if no response

Yes, that's what I spent on my Roborock S5 and it has been worth every penny. I couldn't find a better deal for one I know would be reliable (we have had 0 problems with ours) and that has mopping and map-based navigation.Tyler wrote:This one? Has anyone owned a 360 vac? I thought Tyler had mentioned having one. This seems like a pretty decent deal if you want the lidar mapping system.

I'm very interested in this. I think lidar mapping would fix some issues that my current (cheapo) robot vac has with getting certain areas. It's the same price as the Wyze one but includes mopping (not sure if I'd actually use that). Looking for reviews online now.

I've never seen that 360 one before. Get it wags!

So I ordered the 360 one to try it out. It's in the process of it's first cleaning/mapping. So far, it's really cool. The map is perfectly showing the features of the main level. The main issue I wanted solved is that my old vacuum kept messing up on our new area rugs for some reason, and this one has no problem with it. Another problem area for the old one was that it didn't do a good job of getting around the dining room table because the legs are kinda weird; this one has no issue with it. It also is much better at getting over the floor transitions from the hardwood throughout the living room to the tile in the kitchen/dining room. The old one had trouble with that sometimes.
One downside to this one is that the lidar hub on top makes it just barely too tall so it won't fit under the couches. Old one was short enough to get under there, which was nice. I guess you could also say that having only one rotating brush on the front is a downgrade vs. the two the old one had, but that seems to be the norm.
Put the old one in the basement, so will be able to more consistently clean the floor down there.

Sounds like you got a nice deal!

So far so good anyway!
It also comes with mopping, but I don't know how often, if ever, I will use that.

Was Corey right all along?! It is worth spending more than double on a "good" vacuum?
Agreed up the lidar hockey puck. It BARELY fits under my couches now. I could see it being a problem for others.
