-Google Home integration. Wooo!!

Wyze is coming out with a NAS like device to record all cameras to. It was teased earlier this week, but this is a better video of it. Still no official announcement from Wyze, but they have this booth set up at CES currently so it's not like they are trying to hide it. Originally I thought it only fit 2.5" drives, but it does fit full drives as well.
Wyze doesn't actually make any hardware, they buy it from a Chinese company and flash their custom firmware to use with their app. If you look at the Chinese product, it works out to be $57 after converting the money. If this was sold for $60 it would be an instant buy from me. I would like the ability to record all cameras to my home server, but I would be happy with this if it was plug-n-play.

wireless outside?
Re: Home security cameras
Didn't officially announced if outside would be wireless or not. Just that it was coming this year

This was left in my house with 7 hardwired cameras outside. Dude spent quite a bit of time and money setting it all up. I'm annoyed to have to learn a new OS on top of Wyze now

Haha, same. I never did when we moved in. We even still have the same garage code that they left it on.

I never reset opener and reprogrammed the remotes so I suppose we are risking in that regard but we have replaced locks and reprogrammed the keypad.

Yep. I'm setting those up inside the house, like toyroom, Evie's room, guest bathroom, etc

Good just like last house

Wyze app has preorders for their sensors. $20 gets you the hub, 2 open/close sensors, and a motion sensor. Pretty good price! Too bad they are using propriety connections.

1 day and 2 hours until some kind of Wyze announcement. "Wyze Cam feature coming soon" implies it is software, and not new hardware.

Corey and I would like the basic feature to click a motion alert and then be brought to that spot in the recorded timeline. Idk if something like that is worthy of a big announcement banner.

I ditched Wyze and went with Reolink for outdoor usage, but the new v3 shipped and there are some great comparisons on Reddit. Looks like a huge upgrade over v2.

Oh wow, that is huge. My Wyze cam in the front yard is mostly worthless at night because it's so dark.
