Car windshield sun visor

Postby Tyler » Tue Jul 03, 2018 10:37 am

I'm officially an old lady. Bought a windshield sun visor yesterday. Tired of getting in my 100+ degree car after work. Went with a 1 piece folding one vs 2 piece. Struggled with it today and did a poor job putting it in.

Did you get a fun print on it or just plain reflective silver?

Silver space blanket on one side. Dark grey cloth on the other. I didn't know if the space blanket was suppose to go on the inside or outside, but I assumed inside or what would be the propose of a nice color on the other?

I always thought the space blanket side was supposed to face out, but I guess I've never had one. I think it's supposed to reflect the light back out, whereas a dark colored cloth would attract more light/heat.

I did what the picture shows, but someone on Walmart reviews says the picture is backwards on the packaging. I also thought the shiny should be outside, but second guessed myself when I saw the picture and ones in the store with the fun designs.

I went out and changed it. That sucker was like 150 degrees to touch. It hurt. Must have been because it was absorbing the heat and not reflecting it? Will see what it's like in 3 hours.

Got it up the correct way today. I assume it is going to reflect the light/heat straight to the dashcam and explode that battery.

Nah. It was too hot to touch, but still working fine.
