Assassins Creed 3

Postby bbous13 » Sat Nov 03, 2012 3:05 pm

Just started playing it this week. I'm not very far but I love it up to this point. Anybody else have it?

Assassins Creed 3

Is this the civil war one? How's that work?

I played the first and got tired of the repetitiveness of it. Corey has owned and played them all I think.

I am interested in the Assassin Creed movie that has been rumored.

I dabbled in the first one back in the day at Glass's house. Never kept going with the series but I've always been interested in it. I've considered buying the first on the cheap just to see if I wanna get into it.

This is the civil war one and you play as an Indian with a bow, traps, and rope snare. I'm not far enough to know how the whole war thing works yet but I know Ill be getting trained by someone to be an Assassin. This one feels alot different than the other ones as it is set in the woods more than a town. Running and climbing through trees is super fun and different than all the previous games. The movie is confirmed I think and Michael Fassbender is starring.

Has anyone played this? I am curious what they are going to replace the building climbing mechanic with. I may be mistake, but I don't think our country had giant stone buildings that you could eagle dive off of during the Revolutionary time era.

They still have buildings that you climb up for the eagle dive but now you also do the synchronizing from tall trees. The buildings for synchronization are in Boston and other surrounding areas.

Think this game is better than the others? I've heard most say it is

What did you think of the 4 hour "tutorial" before the story starts. I've heard mixed thing about that

Yea I like it better than revelations so far. There's some new things like naval battles that are really fun. The tutorial part sucked for people who have played all the other ones and know the controls. It's a good refresher but it took too long to get into the actual game.

Guys on my podcast were raving about the Navy stuff. They said that would make a good game on its own.

im just about 3 hours in and i love it so far. it has an amazing back story the only thing i didnt like was that the main character knew who is father was. i was hoping that would be revealed to him at the end but hey maybe there will be some other fun character twists.
