I bought a bidet. Ask me anything

Postby Tyler » Sun May 19, 2019 7:45 am

After years of joking about getting a bidet I started to seriously consider it after a podcast host bought one and proclaimed 2019 would be the year of the bidet. His review was positive so I thought it was time to commit or get off the pot.
Also, tmi, but I think all new mother's would appreciate one. Their body goes through a lot after giving birth.

I bought this from Amazon for under $30. Ask me anything.

8 mins, tops.
It came with all needed hardware and even a wrench. The t-joint and braided hose were also included.

Like ice water for the first split second, then you get over it.
Feels like someone shooting your buttcrack with an extremely powerful super soaker.

I've never understood the allure of a bidet, it sounds gross to me. But I've never tried it so I can't knock it. How long does it spray or do you control the time?

Wiping your butt with paper held by your bare hands < spraying clean water at your butt and not having to touch it. (Still need to touch to dry it, but by that point it is much cleaner)
Which one sounds gross?

You control how long and the force.

If you look at the pic, you don't see the nozzle. The nozzle doesn't pop out until you turn the knob for the water pressure. I wanted to see what this looked like after installing. I knelt in front of the toilet and turned the knob to low very slowly just so I could see the nozzle start to pop out. BOOM. Full jet of water straight into my chest. Came at me like a power washer. If I wasn't standing there it easily would have reached the opposite wall 6 feet above the toilet.

After that I turned on the nozzle again WITH THE SEAT DOWN and it still sprayed water all over the place. Never turn the knob unless you have a butt in place to block the water.

Not fully clean. It's mostly just drying with TP, but you'll still be cleaning some.....residue

Me using the bidet after my morning coffee cleanse.
*Evie enters out of nowhere*
"Dad, I can hear water. Are you doing the thing that sprays water in your butt?"

I'm happy to report the clean rear army enlisted another soldier recently.

I can't say life changing yet as I usually do my business at the office. But I was pleasantly confused when I first tried it

That's the problem with me too. I poop literally 10:1 for at work vs home. It was such a blessing while on 2 week paternity leave though.
