Interesting all of the big conferences that are being cancelled. You guys seem to talk about this one yearly.

Google cancels its 2020 I/O developer conference

I wonder if Google will still do a presentation and live stream it?

I'm waiting for E3 to be cancelled. Most of the big players pulled out.
A few weeks Mobile World Congress was cancelled. Some VR stuff was supposed to be revealed there and they had to do it online instead.
Facebook's conference where they talk about VR for 5 minutes was also cancelled.

We were just talking about this yesterday. I work in the marketing department of an engineering/manufacturing company so we deal with a lot of trade shows in a lot of industries. We've been getting a lot of coronavirus communication in regard to the shows and a few have been cancelled. So far, most of the US shows are still on, but they all say "we're keeping an eye on the situation," so I would expect more to be cancelled.

An argument is happening in the office as we speak about this. There is a big show coming up that hasn't been cancelled, but many of our larger customers have told us they aren't going, so we're trying to decide how many, if any of our people will be going.

Haha you would think so. But this particular show is in an industry that we already dominate, so it's more about customer relations vs. making new sales.

Wells Fargo is not allowing travel. My sister is supposed to go from Iowa to LA next week and they are saying no.

We had another show cancelled as of yesterday, but the one we are co-hosting here in Minneapolis is still on as planned.

I hear Iowa is about to be the epicenter of coronavirus in the US due to all the ill-advised cruises that people from Iowa are continuing to go on (Tyler's coworker, Corey's family).

It's our goal to have 2020 associated with Iowa being the worst state to get the coronavirus and not being the state with the worst caucus process.

There are much much larger audiences at sporting events, will they be the next to limit people?

I thought I had heard yesterday that the NBA was considering not letting fans in games.

NBA and others aren't letting media into locker rooms for post game now. I would imagine they will do whatever they can to avoid removing fans
