The panic buying/hoarding is super annoying. Hoping things can start to settle down soon.

It won't. Schools here are shut down and our daycare is closed for at least 2 weeks. People are going to drive themselves mad.

I keep reading that the supply is fine and shelves will be full once the next truck comes in...but I fear people will be waiting for that and then by everything the day of. We need to go just normally weekly grocery shopping tomorrow. Jocelyn will probably do it while I work, wishing her luck.

I went to Walmart to buy a couple things. I needed alcohol prep wipes for use when changing the cartridge and injection site for my insulin pump, Walmart was completely out of rubbing alcohol and the wipes.
I happened to be in Fort Dodge yesterday for band practice, stopped at the CVS because it was a block away, they had plenty.

I'm stopping at Sam's Club tonight, and I'll probably pick up a couple items that are just on the edge of needing to restock or waiting another week.

I'm glad you were able to find what you needed. Seems like Walmart is crazy but Fareways are mostly fine for food.

MN is a state that has mandated all bars, restaurants, gyms, and theaters to close starting at 5pm tonight. I think liquor stores are still open. And as far as I know, retail stores are open at their own discretion. Luckily I work part time for a brewery so I have enough booze in my house to stay consistently buzzed until this all blows over.

Iowa has the same now. Iowa isn't dumb though and we can buy beer and liquor at the grocery store.

Theater Owners Ask Congress for Emergency Bailout Amid Unprecedented Closures
A lot of people think the movie studios should bail them out, not taxpayers. That is an interesting idea.

There are a lot of interesting takes on these "bailouts" from both sides. Not to get into politics, but one snarky meme I saw said something about how these corporations should have had at least 3 months of expenses saved up and pull themselves up by their bootstraps instead of expecting a bailouot (as the American people are often told).

I usually get a kick out of the "All the people who said 'Trump's not my president' shouldn't get the stimulus package." A) because those people usually say "nothing is free." b) accepting a hand out from the government sounds like a socialist ideal to me.

It's just funny how a tune can change when someone you align with politically is the one suggesting it.

The biggest adjustments about WFH with family around
1) No more commute = no more hour of podcast time a day. I never listen to them at work, only during my drive. That might have to change.
2) No 42 minute long lunch break to watch an episode of TV. I finally got around to watching Saul today and still haven't seen West World.

1. Podcasts while you shower/morning routine - e.g. I put mine on when I walk the dogs
2. Can't help you there...

Still working. That's the problem with physical work, can't work from home.
Will continue working until instructed not to come in, or Maria or myself get sick/exposed. Maria is much more likely to get exposed because she's still working.
