Tablets

Postby bmyoungs » Tue Nov 27, 2012 9:48 pm

my sister and I are thinking of getting my parents a tablet for christmas. im torn between the nexus 7, kindle fire hd, and the new nook. i think they would find either the nook or the kindle easier to use but the nexus is a much better performing tablet. Any thoughts?

My mom has a kindle fire, so it's pretty parent-friendly.

The Asus Nexus 7 (first gen) or Samsung (2nd gen)?

The Asus Nexus 7 is pretty much the best android tablet you can buy. However, the UI of the Kindle Fire or Nook might be easier for them. I would want the full android experience, they may not. I say rule out the Nook for sure.

If you get the kindle you can always put full android on it later like I did with Jocelyn's. she uses it way more now that its not the amazon UI
