Less is more with Negan. They are trying too hard with him. No one monologues that much! Well, no one other than Rick.

Watching right now. I kinda like how he is with Carl. Gives him a tiny bit of humanity.

Those scenes worked so much better in the comics. Carl was like 12 in those issues. He is like 32 in the show.

Just noticed this is another full hour episode. TWD is doing this way too often. At least this episode is better than last week's 60 minute shiatshow

Also...Carl could have easily taken a cheap shot at Negan and killed him when he was first discovered.

Looks like next week is an extra long episode for the mid-season finale as well.

I thought this too. He instead kills a random henchman. So dumb.

TWD is automatically better when multiple stories are told during an episode. Was nice seeing multiple members of the group during one episode. We still haven't been back to the Kingdom for 5 episodes though. This week was probably 2nd best of the season, which isn't saying a lot.

Remember that time Negan's compound was shown to be like 7 stories tall with lookout posts all over, but yet Jesus was able to ride in on top of a box truck and no one saw him?

How great would it have been if the episode ended with Negan singing to Judith "you are my sunshine..."

Speaking of Judith. That poor girl. She's 2+? and spends her entire day in that crib. She gets zero interaction. No wonder she doesn't speak.

There wasn't even anyone around! She was literally in the crib with the door shut.

I know they have shown a baby monitor before (I took a picture of it), but still! She is always left locked in a room alone.

Carl was kidnapped, Rick was out, and Michonne was off doing her little thing.

Lol, you are right. Sometimes Father G watches her! Oh wait... he was out walking back to Alexandria. Was the pantry keeper lady at their house or her own house when Negan showed up? Maybe she was there baby sitting?

I think her own, but I'd have to watch again, which is something I'm not willing to do

Speaking of not watching to verify info.
Was Negan telling Carl that his people dressed like auto repair people. Or that Negan's wives dress like auto show babes? I swear he said auto show, but podcast was debating between the two.

I would like to say auto show, but maybe auto repair is his thing.

That's a good point. Plus, they seemed to suggest that Daryl saw him and he was on the ground.

I had to rewatch because I refused to believe I was wrong, but we are.

"You're going to want to look. Every girl where you're from looks like they do the books for an auto shop"

I heard this as "every girl here looks like they do a booth at an auto show"

That's what I heard, but to be fair, I did think that was a dumb analogy for him to make.
