Carl’s death is the perfect allegory for this show. Drawn out and unnecessary.

That was a bad episode. Some people are calling it bad just because they killed off Carl, I think it's bad because how they handled it. We watched a character die that we have been following 8.5 years. I should feel sad, I should feel angry, but I only felt bored. It was like the ending of Return of the King, I thought the episode was done 3 different times. This did not need to be an extended episode.

None of the other plots were very interesting either. Morgan and Carol are so flip-floppy on if killing is good or bad that I don't know who is actually suppose to be the "sane" vs "insane" one right now.

What was up with Rick leaning against the tree at the end?

I feel like this show is an elaborate joke on the audience and the show runners are all in on it just seeing how bad they can make it before we stop watching.

It's not even that the story is bad (it is), but every part of the show has declined. The cheesyness of the dialogue, the horrible weapon action (blunt sticks go through human skulls like a hot knife through butter), even the sound effects are bad (Morgan stabbing someone with his staff and instead of the brain-smushing "squish" noise that we've heard a bunch of times before, it just sounds like a large book dropped onto shag carpeting from 2 feet in the air). It just all seems so lazily done now. The only enjoyable part of this show is watching in BigScreen. If it wasn't for VR, I wouldn't watch at all; and that's coming from one of the last people who defended this show a couple seasons ago.

That was so bad. You could tell even the actors were bored at how long that took.

The episode could've been good .....if they killed Carl off in the first five seconds, got rid of all the flash forwards, stopped with the flashback bite, knocked it off with the Morgan moral dilemma shit, and cut out that RIDICULOUS montage of Carl sunbathing with a fucking cowboy hat on

Also, that had to be the worst song ever for that, which is probably why they chose it.

So if they cut everything from the episode it would have been good.

Wow. They have lost almost half of their audience and this should have been an episode people tuned in for.

The show is still huge with 8million, but AMC should be freaking out about the drop.
