You still wouldn't play it.

I will for sure get this game...once the price drops a bit.

I'm currently playing God of War A LOT. Janelle also plays Horizon: Zero Dawn. After that, I plan on getting Monster Hunter (because it's down in cost), and then I'll do this one after.

Playstation Exclusive games are awesome.

Monster Hunter isn't exclusive! Is Zero Dawn?

Spider-Man on PS4

Well I guess if nobody else is going to play it... it’s pretty fun. Reminds me a lot of Arkham city. I’ve been avoiding the main story and just doing the side missions. They did a really good job of recreating New York. I found the pond where they did the duck races in Stuart Little.

I've heard it's Arkham set in NY during the day. That makes me want to play even more.

I'm borrowing bennyschup's PS4 for this. I told him I'd buy the game and he can keep it after I'm done. Hopefully find a time this weekend to get it.

Now I just need the console. First $60 game I've bought in 7 years? Oh wait, I bought Mario Kart on Wii U on launch

Thoughts after playing 20 minutes.

A) the original PS4 is loud. I can hear the fan running constantly.
B) Fun game so far. The mechanics are Arkham with a little more options. I imagine you'll unlock moves, just like in Arkham, but this game throws a lot at you up front. Or...I'm old and rusty with AAA games and that's my problem
C) the game looks great. I'm not ready to call it the best looking game ever, because some of the Bioshocks on the 360 looked very good, but those probably don't hold up.

I'm listening to my first ever Giant Bomb podcast for their review of this game. I am aware of Giant Bomb and a lot of the guys have guest hosted on Tested, but first time listening.

They are making a lot of Arkham comparisons, which are impossible not to make. They made a good point though about how the combat makes more sense to Spider-man. In Arkham a button flashed on the screen when you had to counter. They did this to help you so you didn't get hit. If you were good you could turn off all the tips, but I never did. In Spider-Man when you need to counter his Spidey sense tingles and you get an on screen prompt, but it's not just a button icon. Very very small detail, but something that is kind of cool.

Played a good hour or so today. This game is a lot of fun. 100% a reskinned Arkham, but I'm okay with that.

Got tired of the PS4 sounding like a rocket ship. My fault for having it in a shelf with no airflow. Can you spot where I moved it to? I'm glad the controller range is so good.

Evie loves this game. I let her watch me for a bit, first time she's ever seen me play a PC/console game. I made sure to do no combat missions. I just did side quests to find backpacks and take pictures. After awhile she asked to play and I let her. She just moved the joysticks, but that was fun for her. When Spiderman gets to a wall he climbs up, so it's easy for her to pretend to play. She would just move the joystick and jump. She got so into the game that she didn't tell us she had to potty and went on the couch while playing. Joy!

Have you talked to Howard yet? Afterwards all you do is chase pigeons. It’s pretty fantastic.

Was 33% last night before playing for an hour. I think I finished act 1 and found all collectibles/pictures.

I can't believe I'm enjoying a pancake game so much. Is VR just a gimmick?! (Yes, but it's one I really enjoy)

Spider buddy paired with the drones is so good when you are overwhelmed. Spider buddy is the best suit power I think
