MSI Afterburner is the software that makes it very easy.

9,600 in Fire Strike with my new GTX 970. That is running it with no OC.
9,200 is minimum VR specs. Friend said I can borrow his HTC Vive now.

I think Time Spy is the new default 3Dmark test.
3,500

New CPU cooler is keeping it 30 degrees C cooler.

I'm done playing around. I wanted to beat Purple_Hayes and his stock rig, but I can't...unless I OC the CPU more...

No one cares about any of this but me.

Not only do I not care, but I also have no clue what any of this means.

I believe he's putting a large flavor flav clock around his GPU instead of a more standard sized time piece

I should disable my CPU and GPU OC so Brad and Corey don't feel bad about their 1060's being inferior to my 970. But I guess Brad beats me in the DirectX12 tests

Hi.
I ran these tonight with stock settings before I went over to help the neighbor with his PC. His should beat me, so I wanted to test mine first.

GTX 970 a month ago:
Firestrike: 9,547
Time Spy: 3,585

GTX 980ti now:
Firestrike: 13,075 - top 81%
Time Spy: 4,544 - 49% - this test is dumb!

Update. Rusty told me to also test my CPU with Cinebench
GPU: 111.86fps
CPU: 555

The mammoth laptop scored an 875. I wanted to compare it to Jocelyn's old college laptop, since that is our mobile gaming machine, but it won't turn on. Looks like I got a replacement at the perfect time. Jocelyn's laptop would hiccup during Jackbox animations, but I don't expect that to be a problem anymore.

I noticed the 3Dmark score had the GPU and onboard video. I disabled the onboard and running it again.

Time Spy - 6,212 (6,301 graphics, 5,752 CPU)
Firestrike - 15,260 (18,543 graphics, 15,783 physics, 6,420 combined)

Ryzen 5 1600 @ 3400 MHz (stock)
GTX 1070 @ 1607/1797 MHz base/boost clock (small factory overclock)
RAM is DDR4-3200

I paid way too much for these results since I upgraded my PC when my old one died unexpectedly and didn't shop around or do as much research as I normally would for a PC build.

Artukka reporting in with the highest specs on the site.

That stinks you had to buy a PC when you weren't ready to do so. Regardless of what you paid, you got a very capable gaming PC. Do you have a 4k monitor to take advantage of the 1070?

My monitor is only 1080p, but it's 144 Hz so I still benefit from the added power (at least in many games).
