I did it!

And it's a sign than my 10 year old gaming desktop is slightly better than a high end gaming laptop from 2013. YAY.

6,772 in Fire Strike. Wanted a fresh score for when Wagner posts his next week.

I don't think itscsalvo posted his since getting the GTX 970 and new CPU?

9,271 is minimum spec for a VR headset.

Wilkins showed me this and I am obviously posting it here. It's generally better to buy 1 powerful card vs running 2 cheaper cards, but 2x the $200 AMD RX 480 are beating a single $600 GTX 1080.

For comparison. my GTX got 6,700 in Firestrike bench marks. This $200 card is getting 12,000.

It should also be noted that this is out of the box. No driver fixes or card optimizations yet, so it'll perform better in the future

Computers and PC parts

Recently, I have been upgrading my rig. Wanted to play the games I had on Ultra, like they were meant to be played. So, I grabbed a MSI GeForce GTX 1070 this weekend from Microcenter here in Columbus, OH. Tyler thought it would be nice to show the difference. I upgraded from a GTX 760, if you were curious.

Ran Fire Strike before and after the GPU switch.

As you can see, it was an excellent upgrade on my part.

Quite the upgrade. Now you need a monitor that actually displays more than 60 fps or does 4k.

Okay, stop spending my money. LOL.

I can't thank you enough for helping me upgrade my rig. I am sooo happy with it right now. Monitor will have to come way later.

I knew you'd find something for me to spend my money on. I'm guessing I need to get the liquid cooled stuff to do the overclocking?

You can overclock your video card without needing to liquid cool it, only hardcore people liquid cool their GPUs (Rusty). If you were to overclock your CPU you would probably want a liquid cooler.

Well, I'm a huge newb, so.... I have no idea how to overclock my GPU. Would need some help doing so.
