I "bought" a bicycle with points. I haven't bought any gear yet but this bicycle is fun

I may be at my quitting point. Level 49 right now. Can't unlock new tracks until level 58. Just need to grind it out and replay old levels and get contracts to unlock new ones.

I stopped playing because I would have to grind a lot to unlock anything new. However, over the weekend we were playing local mulitplayer and I was pwning so many n00bs. I felt really good. They were amazed.

Lol played a bit last night. It's a terrible game outside of the actual levels.

I like to think you and Corey both thought I was being dramatic. How can a game's menu/level selection screens be *that* bad. Then you both got it and fully understand my pain.

Trials 1/2 were very basic. Almost like early mobile games moved to console. Trials evolution was a decline in menu structure but still kept the basic list. This is like a throwback to Sega Dreamcast games menus with a bad pay to win style level up system (minus the pay to win part) mix in a poor soundtrack and you've got a 5 star game

Corey and Brad still playing? This was top 4 pancake game for me in 2019. I miss having a casual game to play from the couch after the family goes to bed. Maybe I'll buy the old ones?

Haven't played in a while. Haven't really used the switch much though since getting the dog.

Those things don't seem like they should be mutually exclusive.

Brought the switch with me on my trip to Orlando, so I'll play a little trials since it's one of the games I have that doesn't require internet.

Oh nice. That's the perfect use case for the Switch and that game. Good thinking.

I can't stand playing this game. I enjoy trials obviously but I'm not sure that's enough to make up for the hatred of the rest

Are you stuck at a point where you just have to grind out the same level to get enough points to go forward?

Because of the horrible UI I didn't immediately see the championship things and those get you a lot of points obviously I was dumb

No I haven't gotten stuck at that point yet. I can see how that would happen though. And sometimes a "new contract" appears on a level you've already done which is annoying.

From a post in that link regarding the game's "plot":
yup... believe it or not it actually did [have a plot]. If you pay attention to the voiceovers during the levels.

You're essentially trying to escape an AI run base that's attempting some form of illegal cloning experiments, and you're the evidence that is being helped escape (by the 'good' AI).

Hence why you can respawn if you die (because you're disposable).

The last level has the 'big reveal'.

Did not know that.
