Cities: Skylines on Steam

Postby Tyler » Wed Mar 18, 2015 7:11 am

This game is like Simcity, but better in every way. Has a 10/10 on Steam so far and 4.5/5 on Metacritic. I played for almost an hour last night and Jocelyn played for a few hours. Once you figure out the basics it is a lot of fun.

(video defaults to lowest quality, bump it up)

You quit because you ran out of money, like a little baby! I raised dem taxes and was a true rags to riches story.

I played for 1.5 hours tops. Because no school and stuff!!

Jocelyn admitted I'm better at roads and traffic management. We've been taking turns who gets to play. I've started like my 5th city and this will be the one I stick with.

We have 26 hours logged to the game, half of those to my map. I was getting tired of how flat and straight everything was so I went online to find a custom map. Went with this. It's an island with a volcano lake in it and a lot of mountains, will be a fun build

Not that anyone cares, but I am letting my city run at max speed over night to see how much money I can get. Going to bed at 130k. I think I have the city self sufficient; meaning dead bodies and trash shouldn't pile up.

Woke up with $4 million and nothing bad happened - I am the greatest mayor ever! That is too much money now and things will be too easy, might go back to my save from before my experiment

Sounds like a typical pay to progress mobile game. Mobile Sim City and Cities aren't close enough to be compared

Nice. you could cheat in all of the SimCity games and make aliens and stuff invade.

Pretty cool.

Is this free or $$?

It will probably be $12. That is around what the other expansions cost. Coming this winter.

Are the expansion's worth it?

I haven't bought any, but I could see if you liked the game they would add more play-ability to it (durr...that is what an expansion does Tyler, you idiot)
