Wags has been living streaming this game for me, he is really good...after I helped him with the mods.

I haven't played since you watched me. It's not the same without an audience

I need to learn how to handle highways better, i.e. making raised highways that can have roads underneath them. This would solve so many of my traffic issues.

Played a lot yesterday when I was home sick. Also, there's probably a good 6-10 hours of that play time where I just have it paused while I go do something else. But my city is pretty good looking right now. It's hard to unlock some of the monuments and that's what I'm working on right now.

I thought you cheated and had everything unlocked at the start...or maybe that was bmyoungs.

I did, but for the monuments it only unlocks the ones that you've previously earned. So you still have to work to get those.

For example, right now I have all of my landfills shut down because one of the monuments unlocks after your average garbage piles up to a higher than normal number. There's another one that unlocks after you have 1000 abandoned buildings in the city. I had a mod on that automatically demolished my abandoned buildings so I'll have to take that off if I want to try for that one.

Great game for 7.50.

Not anywhere near as "difficult" as SimCity. Once you reach a certain point it's like "Guess i will build an entire new zone in my city". It becomes a little stale at that point but the the beginning is really fun.

I saw this on SD. What's the difference between the two?
Also, looks like a lot of DLC on sale too.

I did not research what the difference is. Deluxe probably includes some DLC

Had a wild hair on my butt today and played this for a bit. This game is so fun. I had to stop after 40 minutes because one of the mods from 4 years ago that I was using is now broken and it was causing the game to throw errors. Might get back into this later though.

I actually did the same a couple weeks ago. It can be super addicting. I've always have everything unlocked and unlimited money though, so I haven't actually played in any strategic way.

I go back and forth on that. Today I did a traditional campaign, but had some Steam workshop things enabled, but nothing that I would call "cheating".

Started another level yesterday. As fun as I like the challenge of earning money, my OCD makes it too frustrating. I want zones far apart from each other and it's hard to do that when you're starting in just one square with limited money.

I'll probably start a new level this week and enable all cheats.

Everytime I please this I start over because I can never resume in the same mindset so my goals for the city change and it turns to shit
