Microsoft Xbox One Wireless Controller (White) $35 + Free S/H

Postby Tyler » Mon Jun 26, 2017 9:39 am

I kind of want this for PC so I can leave my Xbox dongle plugged into Steam Link and use this new controller exclusively for PC. I would need to get a bluetooth USB dongle though.

That's fair.

I've had a third party thing for like 3 years and it works fine. I would never get a 3rd party wireless for my actual xbox, that's for sure. but a dinker that i use occasionally on my PC, sure.

I just looked up the one that I have (Afterglow Xbox One wired controller), and for some reason it's selling for $50 at BestBuy and Target. Why would someone pay $50 for a wired controller? I know it wasn't that much when I bought it.

I got the corded one when I only had one wireless Xbox controller and I didn't want it to keep turning on my Xbox whenever I used it for PC.

You're all bad at talking me out of things, I just ordered.

I think at the height of my Xboxing in college I had 2x 360, 6 controllers, 5+ official Microsoft rechargable batteries -- but I sold almost all of that. I will now have 3 controllers, with 2 of them showing major signs of wear. Will be nice to have a brand new one that isn't 8 years old. I have cheap 3rd party batteries that only last a few hours, but are good enough for what I do. I just need to remember to charge them when I'm done.

Now I just need the PS4 Pro headset to go on sale so I can be completely wireless like Corey.

I also think I have a Bluetooth USB in a drawer somewhere from a Raspberry Pi project before it was built in.

Got the controller today. I didn't even think about my rechargable batteries not working on this, now I need to get a charge kit!

Just saw another xbox controller slickdeal for even less. Looks like it's a refurbished one though.

Just get some Eneloops. They'll last longer and it is easier to charge than having to remember to plug in the controller.

I enjoy using my PS4 controller for PC. Charges via micro USB. I'm guessing Xbox uses proprietary charge Port?

Nope. This one at micro USB at least. Corey, are you saying USB to the controller will charge rechargable AA batteries?

No but you'd just swap them out. The xbone sub suggests that.

Bought. I was looking at that yesterday and didn't realize it came with the charger.

$35 controller + $5 bluetooth dongle + $18 battery/charger = profit?

Now THAT one looks like a cheap knock off.
