Does it emulate games or does it take the original cartridges?

I have made a handful of Raspberry Pi powered emulators for NES and SNES games. I'll dig up the thread later. I made a Lego NES case and it turned out really well.

Just preorders tho. There is a (slim) chance you get get one in store once they came out. The NES classic had multiple shipments.

If you were interested in doing an emulator that can play NES, SNES, Sega, etc we could help you with parts and software. Downloading ROMs (the digital game files) is a legal grey area but it's easy to do and no risk.

Rough costs:
Raspberry pi, case, power - $50
SD card - $8
2x controllers - $25
Thousands of games - free
