Enable Oculus Beta in settings
-party chat is currently only in beta. Talk to friends while games load or if in different games
-Once you launch a SteamVR game it will automatically create a shortcut for it in your Oculus library.

Kind of a related PSA
Remember that you can have audio play through speakers AND the headset. If you're going to have people watch on the TV they should at least be able to hear it too.

This needs to be done within Oculus setting for Oculus games and Steam settings for steam games.

Use the desktop Oculus app. Go to devices, headset. Turn on audio mirror or "both". **Important step that I skipped** you then need to go to Windows playback devices and set the speakers as the default.

I can't remember, but I think you can access the Steam settings while in the headset. Find audio and enable mirror. No need to mess with playback devices.

I've been able to get Steam games to work correctly, but never Oculus. Hopefully changing the playback device fixes that.
