The Climb (VR)

Postby bmyoungs » Sat Sep 02, 2017 7:28 pm

Bought the Rift Essentials bundle and this was part of it. It is awesome! Falling is absolutely terrifying the first few times on an actual mountain and my arms were actually a little tired after half an hour of climbing. Highly recommended!

I want this game so badly, but the $50 price tag is insane. I wish I bought the $70 action bundle over the summer that included $140 worth of games. Now that I own sports bar and Super Hot these combos are no longer attractive to me

Is the climb worth it for the stand alone price?

It's close. It's a very unique experience that you can't replicate outside of VR, and the graphics are very well done. I had more fun with this than any other single player game so far

I'll probably wait for a sale or for a bundle that includes different games. I think the Microsoft store in DSM has this as their demo. I will try it next time I'm at the mall.

Speaking of Oculus demos at the mall. I've never seen anyone actually getting a demo.

I've seen a line at our Microsoft kiosk once. I was in line to try it once but it wasn't tracking right so they shut it down
