Eleven Table Tennis (VR)

Postby Tyler » Thu Sep 14, 2017 9:22 pm

Corey and I screwed around in this tonight after we finished SportsBar. Was a lot of fun. We played a few serious rounds (where I learned I have been playing table tennis wrong all my life) and then we started making up games. The silly games were possible because you can change your position in the room. We played games where we werent tall enough to see over the table and other games where we were 20 feet tall. Would play again.

The game does VR really really well. I have said it before, but if you just place the ball on the paddle and roll it around it feels like a real ball rolling around in your hand.

I'm sweating after playing Corey for 90 minutes. I ended up buying it so everyone who shares my library can access it. The AI is super hard though.

Corey wins 90% of the time. I only win when he is screwing around and trying to perfect shots. When he actually tried at the end I only scored 3 points in 2 games.

I bought again. I was going to play just a bit tonight to test it out, ended up playing 90 minutes. I enjoyed the games more where the people had their mics on.

Good luck at regionals tomorrow New Town ISD! Let's make it to state this year!

Shout out to the dev of this game who is working with me on Reddit. He's trying to make it so my dad and I can play each other on the same account. He doesn't need to do this and I'm shocked he even wants this to be a feature since it could mean 1 less sale if people share.

When Corey is screwing around I can beat him. A couple of times I beat him and felt like I earned it. To keep each other serious we switched to "Ranked" play. Corey swept me in that mode.

Fun times. Will play again.

So I hadn't played it on quest until last night. Owned it but not played. I looove it. So fun to just pop in for 10 min and play a quick match. It's also extremely accurate. I was shock I could serve similar to how I did when I played daily in college. I did have to play around with the paddle settings though to get it tuned how I like it.

Tried playing some random matches today and everyone quit before it started. I don't like the matchmaking in this game

Weird, I had no problem finding people to play with and they would stick around for 30+ minutes usually. They must find you too tall.

Anyone still playing regularly? I haven't played for like a week and itching to get back in for a bit tonight.

No I have been console gaming the past few nights. I'd suit up any time though.

It officially works where the same account can play against each other. Wilkins and I played 10 games or so tonight. This game is so fun!
