I'm looking for a new game. I think my type of game is single player casual puzzle. There are a few new games out that meet this requirement.

In the meantime I've been playing around with sidequest more. There are a lot of fun little things out there.

Little life hack. I ordered these to act as lens protectors for the Quest. I did the same thing on my Rift so thought I should with the Quest. I don't notice any issue with the stickers impacting the picture quality.

Next weekend I am leaving my Quest with some people who all wear glasses so I was paranoid the lenses were going to get scratched. Thanks to the DAS headstrap though it should be much easier to put on for glasses peeps.

My dad has no appreciation for Link. He's glad he can play his PC VR games, but he doesn't understand how amazing this is. PC VR over USB by encoding the GPU picture and piping it to the headset. He thinks this should have always been an option.

I gave him the cable because if I do decide to do PC VR I'll give wireless Virtual Desktop another chance. That is so close to being perfect for me

It is slick though. I had to update Oculus, steam, and his video card driver first. After this it worked pretty well, just slow to launch. I blame his 8gb of ram, slow CPU, barely supported GPU, and spinning drive.

Have you guys turned on the feature where you can double tap anywhere on the headset to turn on the outside facing cameras? Evie's favorite feature by far. She is constantly turning it on and off when playing.

It really is. I think it was tested that said they must be using the gyros for it. However it is done, it is very cool. You can tap anywhere on the headset.

This has been fun. Kids got into it way more after I got a Chromecast to stream to the tv and they can watch each other and me.

Yeah that's so much fun. Marshall isn't quite old enough to not be destructive with it.

What do they like playing? Like watching?
Have you tried Acron with them and the ol' ball and chain?

So far they've loved vacation simulator. For some reason Janelle has no interest in playing
