You all covered everything pretty well (except for Tim...damn you Tim).

My mind is sometimes amazed by the stupidest thing, but in the 40+ years since the movie came out, how society in America has changed from someone wanting to be the "hero" back in the 60's and 70's to someone wanting to be "villain" that can do whatever they damn well please in today's mindset. Granted, some were still wanting to be heroes, but it didn't appear to be the majority.

And I loved that I was getting a drink from the kitchen when the piano started playing on the the show and I started singing along with Black Hole Sun, and it took me a few lines of lyrics for me to realize, "Wait a minute...Black Hole Sun...western...wait...". Big old smile on my face when the WTF moment settled and passed...

Really enjoyed it. Kind of wished I hadn't watched it and just binged on all of them when they were all released finally. But I've now had a taste of the crack and will be jonesing for it every Sunday evening.

Like Game of Thrones, I think this will be a show will benefit from a traditional schedule because it keeps everyone in sync and will let them discuss it/theorize. If you watched them all in a row you wouldn't be left with any time to question things.

I watched episode 1 this weekend! I'll try to keep going when I get time. Maybe tonight since I already watched TWD last night.

Probably not. I'm glad I watched the movie, but after episode 2 you basically understand enough of the show.

I think the movie would be a good watch if you had zero idea what the show was about, but if you understand "western themed amusement park with robots" you're good to go.

I didnt have a clue what the western SciFi genre meant until after the 1st episode. I thought maybe old west with aliens at first.
