Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor
Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor
cwilkins and I got this game. Immediate impressions are LotR + Batman + Assassin's Creed. I think it's going to be a lot of fun. Getting very solid reviews. This will hold me over until Batman actually comes out. 30+ hours of gameplay.
Re: Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor
Video games weekly said it was like a LotR themed combination of the Arkam Batman games and Assassins Creed. It looks really cool.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor
I have bought a new game in a while.
This one looked interesting but won't spend the money to get it

Re: Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor
This game is totally Batman, there is even "detective mode" equivalent. Both games are made by Warner Brothers so I am okay with them borrowing so many mechanics from the Arkham games
Re: Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor
Some super cool mechanics in this game, for example, if someone kills you they get promoted. You can then take revenge on them, and when you fight them they will reference killing you before and usually be harder to kill with better armor

Re: Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor
This game is the must fun I've had in awhile
Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor
162 hit streak. Beat that cwilkins. It gave me time to go from last stand to all the way full
Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor
I have maybe 3-4 hours into this game and I don't think I've done any of the main missions yet. I've just being doing side challenges and killing bosses. Found out a lot of the times you think a boss is killed but he comes back, so be sure to cut of their heads

That's how it starts. Next thing you know you'll be a level 65 dark knight with a soul-sucking sword
Re: Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor
I haven't played for like 3 days, I am suffering from withdrawal. Probably won't have time to play tonight either because of trivia and needing to watch The Flash.

sounds like you have your priorities mixed up.
Re: Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor
I killed the dude who killed my family, he wasn't very tough. He actually made it easier by killing all of his guys every 30 seconds. I'm now on the next map, I am going to stop doing all of the side quests for now. I am spending way to much time killing captains when I should just finish the main campaign, I can go back to the captains later if I want.

Do the beast missions first to unlock caragor counter
Re: Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor
Completed the game with actually only 61% complete, but I will not go back and do the side missions. The story was pretty weak, as was the ending. The "big boss" fights were always really really easy, easier than the Captains actually. Game play was tons of fun tho, I was never playing for the story.

Re: Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor
I agree. While I was playing the game, I wanted to do 100% completion, but after the game ends, there isn't a whole lot of reason to go back. I thought the war chief battle was pretty cool, but the end boss battle was completely irrelevant. Stealth, run, stealth, run, end of battle. I've fought harder shield guys.

That wasn't the final final boss. The final boss was just a cut scene timing the button thing.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor
I DL'd this when it first released and thought it was pretty fun but didn't invest much time into it. My friend gifted this to me during the sale. I will give it another go!
