New phone and phone news
Had to ditch the windows phone sadly. Sarah and I switched banks to a credit union that doesn't have a windows app and literally the only thing I use my phone for is mobile check deposits. Picked up the Droid Turbo today.
Favorite thing so far is the rapid charge battery 30% in 15 minutes. Not enjoying the Tapatalk app for android though.

Re: New phone
Nice I talk a lot of shit about iphone. Just glad you didn't get an iPhone. . Garbage things. I like my note 4. Can get 50 percent in 30 minutes on my fast charge setting also
Re: New phone
I was reading a little bit about the Turbo, why that over the Moto X?
I am in the new market still and can't decide.

Re: New phone
Nice choice Brad! I will be pre-ordered a Nexus 6 and will be getting that whenever Google decides to start shipping them within the next couple weeks.
The only thing I don't like about the Turbo is the capacitive buttons. Android Lollipop is going to be on that thing in no time and it uses brand new navigation buttons so the capacitive buttons will be outdated right away. Besides that, it seems like a great phone.

Re: New phone
Capacitive being on phone buttons not on the screen? Doesn't the new Note 4 have that as well?
Re: New phone
Android lollipop end of November early December for my note too. I'm excited

Yeah all the Galaxy phones have them too. They also have a physical home button.
Re: New phone
I have two of these said buttons. I don't understand why they're so terrible. Better than just have one home button like iPhone.
Re: New phone
My father just got a droid turbo last weekend. He doesn't know much about phones. But he knows he loves it. Also iced98lx just got his turbo yesterday or today. Good words said about it also. I knew this was coming but the note 4 is the way I went due to s pen, apps for Kaden to draw, color, pictures. Also always taking notes, measurements and drawings for fabricating stuff at work. Always lose my notepad everywhere. Now I use this.

Battery life on new moto x is worthless. Turbo has massive battery in it and much better camera. I was going to get nexus 6 but I loved the size of the turbo. I'll keep you updated on how battery life on this thing actually is now that I have it set up and can use it normally.

I think the issue is that lollipop might add new menu buttons and you won't be able to take advantage of them because you only have the physical buttons on the phone, not the buttons on the screen.
Re: New phone
I got a Note 4 the other day and so far I'm liking it a lot. I upgraded from the Note 2. I'm not too impressed with the battery life yet, but I'm hoping it's just growing pains. I tend to use my phone a lot and the screen seems really bright.
I'm still on stock ROM too, and there is no black color scheme... May end up flashing a new ROM just because of that. Which will of course drastically improve battery life because no bloatware.
Samsung products have so much bloatware it's disgusting.

Well the buttons on lollipop have the same function just different appearance. I like capacitive because I use the back button a lot when on the phone. My home key still activates Google now too.
Re: New phone
Werd to back button. My note 4 battery life impressed me. I use my phone a decent amount throughout my work day. I unplug at 530 and get home at around 730 and I swear to god I have never had less than 50% left. Usually 60-65 left. . I used to have to charge my s5 and s4 at work to make it through the day.
Re: New phone
Not to mention I work at an ethanol plant so the WiFi is at best spotty inside unless I'm in the shop area or control room and I'm always inside then outside so it's constantly bouncing from wifi to network.
Re: New phone
As long as we can all agree android os is better than ios, I'll be happy lol
Re: New phone
nope, I'm coming in to say I disagree and my iphone 6 plus dominates all
but seriously, it's amazing compared to my junk S4. No idea how it compares to turbo etc

Re: New phone
It cm dominates compared to an almost 2 year old phone lol
Re: New phone
I have the luxury of getting to play with every phone and honestly they are all about the same. I still think windows phone has the best ui but they lack outside support.
Re: New phone
Turbo's battery life is killer. Used it a lot yesterday in trainings and had 40% by the end of the day. And used it more my normal amount today and still at 75%. I'm going to leave it off charger and see how far it goes.
